Sneak Peek ~ Family Session

Today we photographed a beautiful family. We have never had so much fun on a shoot. Everyone was great, but the 3 boys stole the show. They were well behaved, loved the camera and never complained. Of course, boys will be boys! They ran around and played all throughout the shoot. It made it that much more fun :)

Here is a sneak peek of their session. These are just a few that caught my eye right away. I hope you like them!

This little guy followed direction like nobody else we've photographed! So cute!

Twitter & More

I kept saying I probably would never get a twitter account. Guess what?! I got one! I am trying to get then hang of it. I know there's not much to it, except for updating people on what you're doing. It's just hard to understand how to manage my twitter account on my phone. I'm sure I'll be a pro at it in no time! So for all those of y'all who use twitter, please add me!

Look at me, I went from just having a blog to having a blog, facebook, formspring, and now twitter! Go me! I'm trying to keep up with the times! Next think you know I will be video blogging!

On another note, I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day with those you love! Art and I went to a winery in LA. I had no idea there was a winery in LA! My cousin, Steph, and her hubby came along. My other cousin, Jenn, also came with us. We had a nice dinner, then we went on a tour of the small winery, and after that wine tasting. I had a great time with Art and my family. Art and I usually don't celebrate Valentine's Day but I thought it was nice to check out a new place to eat and hang out with some of my favorite people.

These photos were taken with the iPhone. I wanted to take my camera, but it just gets too heavy to carry around. My point and shoot was not even an option because it's always lost!

For a photojournalist, I sure do have a lot of photos of me acting cheesy in front of the camera! Embarrassing!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Andi & Family

Over a month ago I had the honor of photographing this beautiful family for the second time. You can check out their first family session with us here.

You may recognize Andi from my recent vendor spotlight. She is an amazing make-up artist. Check out her website here.

Like I've said before, it is an honor and a huge compliment to have a fellow vendor hire us. They get to meet many photographers and the fact that they chose us out of so many is absolutely amazing to me :) Photographing Andi's family was extra special this time around. We got to catch up and see everyone again. Hopefully it will become a yearly tradition ;) Last time we photographed the family Andi was only a few months pregnant. This time we got to meet their little bundle of joy! I told Andi that photographing her baby was going to be trouble for me because it would make my brain go into baby mode. It did for a moment, but, thankfully I am back to normal :)

So without further ado, here are some teasers from their session:

Ask Away!

I recently started hearing about It's pretty much a website that you can go on and ask people questions. You can either get your own account or ask away anonymously. There are a few photographers I know who are using it and answer a billion questions. Obviously I don't expect a billion questions, but if there is anybody out there who just wants to ask a random question, please do. I will answer that one question (hopefully at least 1 question) with 100% honesty :P

You can ask away at

Feel free to ask photography, personal, silly, whatever questions. I will answer them!

If you have a account, let me know and I will follow you. I will post a lit of the people I follow on formspring.

So now go ask a question! :)

Out With the Old, In With the New!

I am stubborn. There, I said it! This is nothing new to Art. For over two years he has been telling me to get a new phone. He's practically begged me to get rid of my beat up pink phone. Hmph! How can I get rid of my trusty phone? Not only does it tolerate all the falls it's had, but I also get great reception. It has never dropped a call. Sure reception has a lot to with the cellphone company, but I am sure it has something to do with the phone, too. Anyway, Art continued to put my pink, little flip phone down. Yes, it's chipped. Yes, it has some discoloration. Yes, it has my little sister's name in neon letters on the back! Yes, it looks like it was discontinued in 2003. So what, I say!

Actually, I said that until about a week ago. Yes, internet, I gave in! I became a little trader. I traded my trusty phone for a flashy phone. A phone I bought a few years back and decided it was not for me. I pawned it off on Art and went back to my trusty pink, flip phone. Yet, every time I saw how awesomely cool Art looks while he does every single thing you can think of on that darn phone, I knew I had to have one. Since I'm stubborn, though, I kept saying no. It was excuse after excuse. No, too much money. No, too techie for me. No, AT&T has bad reception. No, don't fix what ain't broke. All those were my excuses until about a week ago. Out of nowhere we went into the Apple Store and I came out with a shiny iPhone.

I am so happy Art FINALLY convinced me to get the iPhone. I love that I can check e-mails and reply to them on the go. I love not having to ask Art for his phone to check something on the internet. I love that I can talk to most of my family without wasting any minutes. So all in all, it was a good decision.

The Old :(

In case you were wondering, my little sister, Melissa, got some stickers and pasted her nickname on the back. Teenagers.

The New :)
