As a wedding photographer I get to meet a lot of other vendors. There are many times when I will see a particular vendor way more than once a year. Of course after seeing their work I end up admiring their work whether they are videographers, make-up artists, florists, etc.
Over the past few years I have definitely met a lot of vendors who I admire so much that I recommend them to our clients. I only recommend vendors whose work I love so much that I would actually use them for our own wedding...if we would renew our vows...or something (hint, hint).
Anyway, I get asked a lot by brides who do I recommend for videography, flowers, DJ, etc. I decided it might be a good idea to blog about some of our favorite vendors once in a while. A few months back I asked brides whether they would like that or not and since I only got "yes" from them, here is the first featured vendor on our blog :)
Something Blue Stylists - Andrea Martin - Make-up ArtistI have to tell you that I've seen Andrea's work a couple of times and it's beautiful. I really feel that a bride should have her make-up professionally done for at least 2 reasons. 1. You deserve to be pampered on the day of your wedding. 2. A professional make-up artist knows what looks good on camera and what does not.
I know there are many Makeup Artists out there but like I always say, personality goes a loooooooong way! Andrea's fun, down to earth, bubbly personality really makes her the whole package when you see what she can do with make-up :) Sometimes the most nervous a bride will be is while she gets ready because of the anticipation to go and marry her husband-to-be! That's when you need someone who is calm and talkative that will help you relax while you get your make-up done!
