Sneak Peek

Here are a few shots from today's wedding:

During Theresa and Chris' e-session we discovered they were not good at dipping. They're total pros now!

Theresa's sister, Liz, put so much time and love into all the details. I had to post this small teaser for her!

More coming soon!

Calamigos Ranch Wedding - Malibu

Calamigos Ranch
Malibu, California

When we first met with Nicole, Jay was not able to make it, so we were looking forward to meeting him. We didn't get to meet him until the day of the wedding. We must say, Jay and Nicole are perfect for each other. From what we were able to see, they are both easy going, family oriented, and caring. Their wedding was also perfect! They had a beautiful location, a bridal party that consisted of only amazing, fun people, and family and friends that rocked the dance floor :)

Nicole & Jay: Thank you so much for choosing us to photograph your wedding. You guys are the best! We enjoyed photographing your wedding and getting know you and your family :)

Here are some of our many favorite shots:

I found a cool spot under the bar to take this shot. The bartender was looking at me like I was weird :P He said "that must be one pretty bouquet." You bet!

Jessica & Ricardo ~ Engaged!

Malibu, California

Jessica and Ricardo's e-session was quite and adventure! We walked and walked and walked. Then, before we arrived to our destination, we hit a dead end (that was not there before) and had to cross through some dirty, stinky water. I tried to convince them to walk back to the car and drive to the other side, but Art insisted we just take the shortcut and go through the stinky water. I tried to convince him for a good 15 minutes, but I gave up and just went through the stinky water. It was definitely not a sanitary thing to do, but it was totally worth my obsessive washing, scrubbing, and overuse of lotion and soap on my feet once we got home!

Jessica and Ricardo are friends with one of our other couples so we were super excited when they decided to book us. It's always nice when we get to photograph a wedding knowing that we'll see one of our past couples. Their wedding is coming up shortly so you'll be seeing them on our blog again really soon :)

Here are some of our favorite images:

Jessica and Ricardo originally wanted to have their e-session at the Pasadena bridge, but decided they liked the beach a bit better. Since they told us they love bridges, we took them down to the one below. It was worth the walking, crossing through dirty water and walking some more :)

I have to put my dear husband on blast! I have a feeling Art was trying to get rid of my beautiful, bright orange shoes that he openly dislikes :P Better luck next time!

Feliz CumpleaƱos, Mami

Today would have been my Mother's birthday. She would have been 55 years old. I can only imagine what she would have looked like. Would she have any gray strands of hair? Would she look 55? Would she ask me when will I give her grandchildren? So many unanswered questions.

My Mother is one of my greatest joys, but at the same time she is one of my greatest pains. 10 days ago it was exactly 13 years since she passed. She was about to turn 42 years of age. I can't ever fully describe the emptiness I felt that day and I won't try to.

I planned to tell you more about my mom, but to be entirely honest, at the moment I can't. You think that as years pass by you learn how to deal with the passing of a parent, but it's not that easy. Some years are easier, some are harder. I guess it all depends what stage of your life you are in.

If you have your mom in your life, give her a hug, call her, tell her you love her every single day.

I don't want this post to be sad, so I'll share a photo of my mom that always makes me smile :) In this photo she was a year older than I am now. What a fashionista! :)

I must share!

I just got home from one of the best weddings ever! I just had to share these photos with you!

Micah (groom) told me he wanted a photo with his little sister so they could give it to his mom. You see, they took a picture together at a brother's ( by the way, she is the little sister to 5 brothers!) wedding and their mom loved it, so they wanted one of the two at Micah's wedding. Since Micah's mom was so sweet and so was his sister, Nicole, I had to include the photo below so their mom can see it.

More of their wedding coming soon!

I'm Just a girl...

...who is very happy to be going to the No Doubt concert!

I've been a big fan of No Doubt since I was about 13 years old. I was super excited when I found out they were going on tour.

A few days back they had a pre-sale on the No Doubt website. I asked my dear husband to remind me to go on there, but he forgot and I didn't remember! I was bummed out because by the time I logged on to their website they were completely sold out.

Art told me to check out Ebay, which I did. That was a big bummer!  Tickets for okay seats are going for about $300-$350 per ticket.  That is cah-ray-zee! The worst this is that I actually almost went for it!  Art kept telling me to go for it since he knows I want to go so bad. I almost clicked on the "buy it now" button, but I could not get myself to go through with it.  $700 for okay seats is just not cool. I closed my laptop and kissed the concert goodbye. Until...I got an e-mail that same day saying there would be a post-sale the very next day!!! Yesterday I logged on to No Doubt's website exactly at 4:00 p.m. and on my very first try I got tickets in the Pit section. I'm not really into that, so I tried for seats.  To my surprise I got two tickets!  Not just any tickets! 3rd row, right in the center!  Can you believe that?!   Even better, I saved myself over $500 bucks! I'm so glad I didn't buy those tickets on Ebay! Phew

For the very first time I can say Art is happy I didn't listen to him :P

I'll be seeing these guys in July!

Random images

Every now and then I go through Art's iPhone images and upload them to my laptop.

Here are a few that I like and some that make me smile:

A few weeks ago I got this shot of the sky on Art's iPhone.  I thought the sky looked cool, but the camera phone captured it differently.  Still looks cool, though.

Only Art's jokes can make me laugh this hard/loud :)

A few months back we took our nephew to the LA Zoo. We had so much fun there! I don't know why we didn't take one of our SLR!

This was just a couple of weeks ago. I know, don't tell me!  I need to dye my hair already :P I'm debating whether or not I should dye my hair darker.  Maybe I should go back to my natural hair color so I don't have to deal with horrible roots!  Hmmm...we'll see.

This one is from October.  Can you believe Art carved this pumpkin!  He did an awesome job! I loved it!

As you can tell, I didn't have much to blog about :P I'm working on a few blog posts, though! I will be blogging an e-session and a wedding really soon.  Then I have four weddings coming.  Yes, 4! That should be a lot of eye candy for you guys :)  I can't wait to share them with you.

Well, I'm off to run some errands, meet with 2 couples, buy the new Pinocchio movie (woo hoo), have lunch with my husband (double woo hoo!), and come back home to edit.

Happy Tuesday!
