Hello 2009!

I hope everyone had an awesome New Year's Eve. We sure did! We went over to my Dad's house. There's always a party going on New Year's Eve at my Dad's! It was a great night!

Now that we've said goodbye to 2008, Art and I have set many goals for 2009. I think the most important goal is to have me spend less time in front of the computer. For starters we decided on a limited amount of weddings for this year and plan to stick to that number! Thankfully we've almost reached that amount. We're only 4 bookings away! I know 2009 will be amazing! I am looking forward to photographing all our 2009 weddings. I'm also looking forward to booking 2010 weddings! So to all the 2010 brides, give us a call :)

There will also be other changes. First off, we will be getting some extra help, which is much needed! I've tried to do it all and it's just too much! For a long time I've photographed weddings/e-sessions, edited images, kept my calendar, checked and replied to e-mails, went to potential client meetings, designed albums, edited some more, got cameras serviced, answered phone calls, returned phone calls, blogged, edited images for the blog, sent in orders for printing, prepared and mailed out invoices, paid bills, done our bookkeeping. Okay, you get the idea! :P I love my job, but it's too much for one person! We've needed to bring someone in and help me out with office stuff so I can focus on photography, editing, and my personal life! Hopefully this will help free some time up for me. When Art and I were planning our wedding, I remember reading in one of my planners to ask the photographer what does he/she do during the week. I'm so glad that was not one of my questions because now I know that there is a lot going on during the week!

Other cool stuff is also coming up, but it's a very BIG project so it's taking longer than expected. Hopefully it will just take a few more months ;)

On another note, like last year, I will try and post every single day in January. If for any reason I do not blog one day, e-mail me letting me know. If you are the third person to e-mail me you win a free portrait session!

Here are the rules:

I will give away a free engagement/portrait session or Trash the Dress/Mr. & Mrs. session to anyone who has either contacted me before about booking a wedding date with me, has booked a wedding with me or portrait session or if you've ever left a comment on my blog.

The third e-mail I receive saying, “You need to blog everyday!” will be the one to get the free session. You can e-mail me at info@natalylemus.com. Be sure to include your name and contact info.

I will let you know as soon as I get the 3rd e-mail.

You need to be able to do the session within 60 days from winning the free session.

RESTRICTIONS: THE SHOOT IS SUBJECT TO OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS STATED IN OUR CONTRACT, AND THE DATE AND TIMES WILL BE CHOSEN BY PHOTOGRAPHER NATALY LEMUS, SHOOT WILL BE DONE IN ONE DAY, IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY, AND WILL BE WORKED OUT BEST AROUND BOTH OF OUR SCHEDULES.

Until tomorrow!
