Happy Halloween :)

I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween! If you did not know, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so I plan to make the most of it!

I plan to eat all things sweet! Can you tell?

How cute are these?

Art is STILL carving our pumpkin... (Don't pay any attention to his "werewolf" costume :P)

This is when he noticed I was taking pictures of him

The first thing he tells me is, "are you going to blog this?" Of course, dear hubby! I blog everything :) Or, at least I try!

Annette & Mondie ~ Engaged!

Venice Beach, California

Annette and Mondie are getting married in early 2009 and I can't wait for their wedding! They are an awesome couple. They remind me a lot of our friends and I can really see them as friends. They are really laid back and easy to talk to. Throughout their engagement session they were willing to walk all over Venice Beach. Although, I do think I burned out poor Mondie!

Here are some of my fave images (I know Annette was waiting to see these very patiently : ) )

I could not choose between color and b&w

I love the warmth of this shot. It was a few minutes before sunset so we got the nice, warm color.

Typical Nat & Art!

My cousin e-mailed me some images from my b-day. As soon as we saw the image below, Art and I started laughing! It's completely US :P I'm usually the one whiling out and Art is the one that will always find me totally amusing...I mean amazing ;-)

I was rockin' out to Girls Just Want to Have Fun." I was really feeling that song! lol

Here are some other photos from my b-day (better late than never):

My cousins and yours truly :) Oh, and Art off to the side :P

Art also knows how to rock out!

There's a cute story behind the paper crown I am wearing in the photo below (I know, it's blurry!). My cousin, who is a Pre-K teacher, had her morning class call me on my cell and sing happy birthday. That was so cute and unexpected...I loved it! Afterwards she had them make a paper crown for me. Her classroom is filled with 4 year old kids. My cousin asked them how old did they think I was turning and one of the kids said, "well, we called her on her cell phone so she has to be 5!" I thought that was soooooooo cute! So that is why the crown has the number 5 on it :)

I know it has been over a month since my birthday, but, like I said, better late than never :)

We just got home from an 11 hour wedding...and I am tired!

My poor, poor aching feet!

This is what I look like after 11 hours of work...

Not a pretty sight, huh?

Do not pay any attention to the 6 days until halloween sign. I barely have time to keep that up to date.

It feels good to be home after being away for 15 hours.

Now I am off to really get some sleep.

I'm back!

Well, I didn't really go anywhere! I've been editing, shooting e-sessions (will be blogged soon!), editing, meeting with potential clients, shooting weddings, editing. I think I have been doing more than I can handle...or, actually, more than my body can handle! I got SUPER sick on Thursday night. On Friday I could barely get up from the bed, but my wonderful husband nursed me back to health and on Saturday I was MUCH better!

Good things because I had tons of energy for our wedding on Saturday! Here is a teaser from yesterday's wedding:

Many more images coming soon!

Happy Birthday, Art!!!!

October 11th is a beautiful day to's the day the man of my dreams was born :) I know, I am super cheesy! So what! :P

There is not a day that I don't look at my husband and thank the Lord for him. Art really is my better half. He is the reason I smile, the reason I love, the reason I feel loved. Art is my everything.

Someone we often forget to thank and recognize...the Mom! I thank my wonderful Mother-in-Law for bringing such an amazing boy into the world and for raising him to be the most caring, tender, loving, and respectful man he is.

Happy Birthday, Babe! I am blessed to be married to you and to be able to share your birthday with you. Words can't ever describe the immense love and respect I have for you, but I do my best to show you each and every day! I hope I do a good job at it because you don't miss a beat! Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for making me a better person. I thank the Lord for your health and well being. I love you, Babe! <3 <3 <3

Cake time!!!!!!

P.S. Thank you for being the only person that can make me laugh uncontrollably at a drop of a dime! (You guys don't even want to know what this funny guy just did! :P)

Lan & Jack ~ Married!

Pacific Hills Banquet Hall
Laguna Hills, California
Newport Beach

As I was thinking for the perfect words to describe Lan & Jack, I could not come up with the right words. You see, Lan and Jack were absolutely amazing! The best couple. Ever!

I know I sound like a broken record when I say this, but I really feel blessed to be able to do what I love and call it work. Clients like Lan and Jack are the reason Art and I love what we do.

Whenever Art and I meet with a couple we want to make sure that we are a perfect fit for them. To some couples that might seem like the least of their worries, but, honestly, it should be your top priority next to liking your photographer's style. When I met Lan and Jack I knew immediately after talking to them that we were a perfect fit :) I was not wrong! Our personalities meshed

Lan and Jack made us feel like a part of the wedding not just their photographers. To tell you that we were even received with a thank you bag full of goodies to get us through the day! I had told myself I was going to take a picture of the bag with all the goodies...somehow it was all gone by the time we got home :/

Not only are Lan and Jack very thoughtful and caring individuals, but they are very humble, genuine and a pleasure to be around. There was not one thing that I asked them to do that they would not do. They made sure the was ample time for portraits, which allowed us to walk around, get creative and have fun. That is why this post is packed with A LOT of images! I'm telling you, perfect couple! :)

Lan & Jack: Thank you for choosing us to photograph your wedding. Thank you so much for making us feel appreciated :) You guys were more than amazing. We enjoyed every minute of photographing your wedding.

I love these shots Art got of Jack opening his special gift from Lan. He goes from curious to happy to WOW! I like getting ready shots because I get to show what you were not able to see.

I like how Lan and Jack stopped halfway down the aisle to give each other a kiss. Makes for a cute image!

After the ceremony we went to the park to get just a few shots.

The bridal party asked for a jumping shot. They claimed to be high jumpers...they were right!

Off to the reception!

This is my cake shot

This is Art's cake shot

Can you tell I love details?

I love the lighting they used to add more pink to the room. I am biased though, since that's my favorite color!

First dance (I could not choose between color and b&w)

I am so happy Art turned the Mr. & Mrs. signs from the inside of the chairs to the outside of the chairs because it looks so cute in the photo!

Best speech ever!

After the reception we went to take some more portraits :)

Then we went to the Island Hotel to take some photos inside

There are still so many images I want to share with you that I might have to post a "Part 2!"
