MIA

Bad news! Last night Art and I decided to go for a quick trip to 7-11, but it became a long trip to the ER! Yup, that's right, the ER!

While Art was warming up the car, I looked for my sweater. As soon as I found it I flew out the door and as I was rushing down the stairs...BAM! I fell. More like, I fell...rolled...and landed on my side. As I got up my toes were immediately tingling and that was it for me. The pain was excruciating. Instead of going to 7-11 we headed to the ER :( The good thing is that they immediately gave me meds to TEMPORARILY take the pain away. The bad thing is that I was there for about 14 hours! After they did some x-rays it turned out my ankle was fractured. I did not need the x-rays to know that! The swelling and bruising was enough for me to know! I never knew there were so many shades of purple! There is also a mean cut on the my left side of my leg...not cute!

I have to keep a splint on my ankle for about a week or two. I've pretty much had my leg elevated all day today...not fun.

Thankfully I have a sweet husband who takes care of me so well. However, he has a bad habit of photographing or, in his words, documenting my pain!

Here are some shots he took when we got home.

Please excuse my makeup-less sad face and the x-mas pj pants, they were the only clean pants I had at the moment and they are the ones I went to the ER with :P At least I had just waxed my legs!

Also excuse the funky foot! It's swollen, bruised and not doing well :(

I will be returning e-mails within the next couple of days.

I will get to the engagement sessions post as soon as I feel a bit better.

nataly: wow. same exact thing 2 years ago. exactly. you even look the same in the little casty deal :)

except, right as i started to heal up, 3 months later, on my birthday, i reenacted the whole scene again. then i was had to start using crutches.

the worst part is that your ankle will be extremely vulnerable for years. remember that!

Oh Nat, I'm so sorry! I will pray for you. I feel your pain I was down with my foot days before Christmas. I am sure you won't let this slow you down too long, your way too busy of a girl. :) Will you still be able to go this weekend? I hope to see Art pushing you around in a stylish wheelchair. Maybe you can decorate it with some bling and let people know that nothing stops the Lemus family! LOL!
