Happy (LATE) Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving day surrounded by family and friends. My Thanksgiving was great. Although, we started a bit early! Around 11:00 a.m. we were having Thanksgiving lunch with my Dad and then we headed off for some more Thanksgiving lunch to my in-laws house. Why? Well, I wanted to get to the Best Buy line around 2:00 p.m.

What do I think about Black Friday? It's fun, but I can't decide whether it's worth it or not. We got two laptop/printer bundle for $226 each bundle. The price was great, but I do not know if I could get in line on Thanksgiving day again. Plus, there was so much drama going on with people cutting, etc... All in all, I am glad I did it because I got to meet some cool people in line :P Plus, my little sister and cousin will have some cool laptops for Christmas :)

I was trying to upload the images from Thanksgiving day, but it's not going through so when I get home I'll post them.

Also, stay tuned because I will be blogging two weddings in a couple of days.

Kat & Leo ~ Married!

Sportsmen's Lodge
Studio City, California

On Kat and Leo's wedding day I felt completely comfortable. I guess in part it was because I got to know them very well on their engagement session.

Just like on their engagement session, Leo looked at Kat adoringly throughout the whole day. He definitely only has eyes for her!

I'll tell you the story of their wedding day through some of my fave images.

Leo and Kat had a full Catholic mass

After church we headed off to the Sportsmen's Lodge. I got to capture these cool shots of Kat and Leo on the highway!

We made a quick stop to get some images before getting to the reception venue

Who could have done that to Leo?!

I had to sneak in one more photo of the cake. After all, Kat and Leo put a lot of time and effort into decorating it!

How did Leo repay Kat?

He serenaded her!

Mandy & Joe - Engaged!

Irvine, California

This weekend I shot my last wedding for the year! I also had the privilege of photographing Mandy and Joe's engagement photos this weekend. Mandy had the awesome idea of doing their session at Boomers in Irvine. I love, love, love how colorful the whole place is! I always enjoy doing sessions in unique locations.

Mandy and Joe are such a sweet couple who did everything and anything I asked. We had so much fun walking, talking, laughing, playing miniature golf, climbing, joking around and even freaking out. Okay, maybe I was the only one freaking out... You see, as we were talking, a bee landed on Mandy's strawberry blonde hair. Art made sure to get the bee out of her hair as I freaked out! Not even Mandy freaked out :P She said it was not the first time it's happened. I guess they are drawn by the gorgeous color of her hair!

We had so much fun that time flew by.

Mandy and Joe, thank you so much for filling my day with fun and laughs! You guys actually made me feel much better!

Now I leave you with some of my favorite shots. I am off to drink my Theraflu and call it a night!

Joanna & Jason - Married!

Agoura Hills, California

"Jason was one of the happiest groom's I've seen," Art told me on our way home from Jason and Joanna's wedding. Not to say that other grooms we've met were not as happy, but Jason was not shy to show the happiness that clearly invaded his mind and soul. The moment Jason saw Joanna walking towards him he could not contain himself and he even shed some tears. He was all smiles the whole day!

The love between Jason and Joanna was obvious, as was the love their families have for them. The wedding was small and intimate and I cannot imagine it any other way. Both families were able to mix and mingle and get to know one another as I am sure Jason and Joanna wanted.

I had so many favorite images, but I had to narrow it down to these:

I could not choose just one photo of the bouquet!

Can you tell Jason was happy? :)

I love the Fall theme!

Marissa & Michael - Married!

When I walked into Marissa's hotel room, I was blown away by her glow. Like I expected, she was very calm and ready to get married.

As we went off to do some bridal party shots, I got to know the bridal party a little bit better and I know exactly why Marissa and Michael chose them. Like Michael and Marissa, they were all open, kind, funny and humble.

Here are some of my faves!

This is my favorite of them all! I love Marissa's expression!

Once the reception started, it was time to party!

Marissa & Michael: Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding. It was an honor for me to photograph you and your family and friends! You guys were so down to earth, calm and easy to photograph. Thank you for making my job so easy :) A big thanks to your family and friends who made Art and I feel so welcomed!
