If you know me, you know I am a big fan of Homer Simpson :)
Here is what Art came up with!
He's not quite done yet, but he will be in a couple of minutes :)
I'll be sure to post photos of the finished Homer pumpkin in all its beauty!

This cute little flower girl was full of personality and cuteness! You can't tell from this image, since she was patiently and attentively listening to the Pastor, but she was all over the place after the ceremony!
I can't wait to show you more images from this wedding :)

A few weeks back Art and I headed to Los Olivos for Alex and Nick's wedding. When we got to their location we fell in love with it! Nothing beats the beautiful outdoors.
I have so many favorite images for this wedding that I had to break it down into two post. I also wanted to do two posts to dedicate this post exclusively to some of the images my talented husband captured. Although I do not always specify who took what photo, half of the photos posted in the new blog were shot by Art.
*I know you are reading this Art! Thank you so much for being the best second shooter ever!*
There are many more photos to come and the 411 on how beautiful everything was!

I was going through my photos on the iPhone and I realized that I have a bunch of random images that will probably seem silly and some will not make sense.
Here are a few of them:
I took this photo a couple of days ago at the Coffee Bean. As you can see it's just a random shot, but what that mug said really hit home.
This was while I was waiting to be called in to get my root canal done. I was not too happy...
but once I went in there and saw that it was no big deal, I was all smiles!
Now this one is from a while ago. When the Simpsons movie came out Art, my cousins, and myself made ourselves comfy at the theater while we waited for the first showing. Can you tell that I am a big fan?
A photo Art took while in Ensenada.
As you can see, I have random photos. Some are just because, others are silly, some are meaningless, others hold a lot of meaning, but overall I just need to snap a shot!

Hopefully by the end of next week I can start. There are so many gorgeous images I want to add.
I am also going to TRY and blog more often. If I can I will blog daily...let's see how that goes!
However, today will have to be a short post.
As much as I wish I could go out today and have a fun-filled day, I need to just lay down and rest.
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Which side of your brain do you use more? If you see the dancer turning clockwise, you use the right side more and if you see her turning anti-clockwise you use your left side more. When I first saw it, I saw it turning clockwise and I could not make myself see it anti-clockwise, but now I have it down! I can make her go either way.
Check out this link to find out what each side represents.

I need to go in to finish up my root canal...fun...
Actually, the last time I was there it was not bad and the root canal was a piece of cake, but still...I do not like to go to the dentist! The good thing is that I have an awesome dentist who has a lot of patience with me and is extremely nice! I have my iPod video ready so I can just sit back, watch a movie and try to not listen to the beautiful sounds of the drill!
On another note, tomorrow is Art’s birthday so we will be leaving on a mini vacation to Mexico. I will be back on Monday. I will not have phone nor internet access until Monday.
Wish me luck with my ever so awesome root canal treatment!
The Westin Long Beach
Another gorgeous bride, awesome family, and an awesome groom! What more could I ask for?
The groom definitely wears his heart on his sleeve. The love he feels for his wife is obvious to anyone who sees the way he looks at her, the way he talks to her, even the way he talks about her. During the ceremony he was completely open to being sentimental and showing his feelings. Their vows were so tender and personal. They were an all around amazing couple!
I think she looks like Tia & Tamera Mowry, don't you think?
This was right after they were pronounced Husband and Wife.

"This is it!," I said excitedly to Art as we arrived at the Morey Mansion. Tadea had told me all about it and, I have to say, it was as gorgeous as she described it to me! As I walked up the pathway, I immediately spotted Tadea running from one side to the other! I have never seen another bride who has been "hands-on" on the day of the wedding as Tadea was.
When she finally settled down in her room, she closed her eyes, took a deep breath and let it all sink in. Before my eyes, she gradually started to relax and JUST enjoy the many emotions that were obviously filling her every thought. As soon as Tadea heard the music start to play outside she immediately began smiling. It was a giddy smile, like if that is the moment where it hit her that the time had finally arrived and she was about to marry the man of her dreams... I'm pretty sure that's exactly what was going on through her head at that exact moment!
From then on everything was smooth sailing... Well, until we realized that someone had taken Tadea & Jayson's car keys and they were stranded! Not to worry, Nat and Art came to the rescue and at the end everything was PERFECTO!
Tadea & Jayson: Thank you so much for asking me to photograph your wedding. Thank you for treating Art and I like family. I enjoyed the Pastor's sweet and personal ceremony, the close knit family and friends that were at the wedding, and the special touches that made the wedding so you! I will see you guys soon!
Presenting the new Mr. & Mrs.!

For many reasons, Art was very excited to photograph this wedding with me since day one! For one, it was a wedding rich in culture. From the typical Mexican folkloric dresses the bridesmaids wore to the maracas given away as favors, it all reflected their heritage beautifully. Everything was colorfully spiced with traditions of Mexico.
I was also very excited to photograph this wedding. It amazes me how, although we are all Latinos, we still have different traditions. For example, the bride wore a “mantilla” as her veil, which is traditional in Mexico, but not so much in my parents country. They also had a mariachi and tamaboraso which I love, but my family would probably have a band that plays salsa (maybe not even that). Different, but the same! At the same time there are MANY things that are exactly the same such as the lasso, the coins, el baile del dolar, etc.
Here are some of my favorites from the day:
This is my favorite of them all. My favorite photo always has to do with the connection I make with the couple. It's more of a personal thing. At this moment it was time to hit the road and the excitement of the whole day had finally busted out.
Can you believe the bride's sister made these for them? Sooo cute!
